Llanes — Playa de Toró

In the evening I decided to venture further out east to Playa de Toró, passing Playa de Puerto Chico. On the way I noted that my footprints there had been erased by the high tide. Like my flash of existence in cosmic time, I reckoned.

Totally innundated.

The overall scene.

But one must look ahead, what. Here's a cavern being sculpted wave by wave.

A closer look.

I was on the footpath circumscribing Camping Entreplayas (Between the Beaches Camping). There were spots for RVs but the season was over it seemed.

In this you get a glimpse of Playa de Toró.

A beach to anticipate.

More details if I use telephoto.

Hmm, now I wonder why I didn't visit Mirador de la costa, on the promontory. It would only have been a short walk from the Restaurante Riomar.

I like the look of the "rock teeth" guarding the beach.

After descending the coastal road, where I encountered a couple of pilgrims headed for Llanes, I found myself on the western end of the beach.

A local resident, near the outside tables.

The overall scene showing the coastal road.

Back in town an hour later, I rewarded myself with this artisanal gelato.
