I think I allocated one day too many to Llanes. Sure, the hotel was comfy; I had my own room, the scenery was pretty, the weather was good, and the town had enough choice in food and drink. But there are only so many times you can visit a vantage point. For the final evening, I revisited the area to the west. This is Playa de El Sablón again, with bathers and long shadows from the evening sun.
And more walkers too, on a weekday.

This time I walked further out to the headland.
From there I looked back on the cliff path.
And had this clear view of the coast far to the east.
I was in a paddock looking at a few rocky isles offshore. I recall I had to go through a narrow stone gate to reach here; it was to mark the end of the official cliff path; I was responsible for myself past that point.
